We all know the benefits of drinking water. It regulates body temperature, prevents dehydration and it can even make you look better. So how do you make water more appealing? Add some fruit to it!
As well as improving the taste, fruit infused waters are also loaded with vitamins. The best part is there are so many different flavour combinations you can try. Experimentation is half the fun.
To get you started on your infused water adventure, we thought we’d share one of our favourite combinations at the moment.
Strawberry, Lemon & Mint Infused Water
All you need for this is strawberries, lemon, mint and water. Cut lemon and strawberries into chunks and place in a jug (or drink bottle if you’re on the go) along with the mint. Fill with water, and enjoy!
I prefer to refrigerate mine for a couple of hours, or overnight before drinking. But it’s completely up to you. One thing to remember though, is that the longer you leave it, the more the flavour comes through.
I absolutely love this. It’s super refreshing and delicious. Plus I’d much rather reach for this when I get sick of drinking plain water, instead of a soft drink.
What would you put in your infused water?
Thanks for viewing!

Great idea adding the mint! We always have lemon and lime juice in the pantry so I usually just add a few drops of each to my water when I'm bored of plain water. I'm one of the lucky ones that actually like the taste of water though.
ReplyDeleteThanks! That's cool! I'd really like to get my hands on some limes to be honest. Yeah I'm like you, I like the taste of plain water - but I do tend to get bored of it. oxo
ReplyDeleteI have to say that I am really not a fan of infused water. I much prefer just plain. But then I can drink plain forever and a day. I keep it on my desk and I have way more than the recommended daily amount. I don't even notice drinking it anymore!
ReplyDeleteHahaha, fair enough! :) I'm trying to get better at drinking at least 8 glasses, I seem to forget about it half the time - then wonder why I'm dying of thirst.
ReplyDeleteI never used to be into the whole "infused water" thing either, but man I've been enjoying them so much! oxo
You know the gigantic Wendy's Coke cups? I have one of those on my desk with water in it and I drink it throughout the day (and refill). I find drinking out a straw makes it so much easier!
ReplyDeleteWhat else have you infused with?
Sounds delicious but I can't use strawberries because I'm allergic.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was recently in Sydney I started drinking Infused Green Tea's from Chatime and I'm really missing the Peach flavored tea.
I'll give the infused water a go and use lemon instead of strawberries. I really need to drink more water too. Thanks for reminding me. If you have other water infusions please post them.☺
Yes! What a good idea! :)
ReplyDeleteWe've done them with just berries, others with just lemon & mint - but mostly this one. I want to try a watermelon one next! And also one with cucumber. :P oxo
Yumm! Making it this weekend!
ReplyDeleteYay! Let us know if you like it Nishu! :) oxo
ReplyDeleteOh no! Are you allergic to all berries or just strawberries?
ReplyDeleteInfused green teas sound really nice :)
We're going to be doing some more experimenting, and will definitely share some more soon! oxo
Just strawberries. I love them so much but my limit is 4 or 6 at a time (depending on the size). I end up getting Hives if I over indulge on the stawbs. My sister is allergic to fresh pineapple so I got the better allergy! Ooh I look forward to more tasty infusion recipes.☺
ReplyDeleteWatermelon sounds good! I do love me some melon! xxx
ReplyDeleteI love watermelon in drinks, but don't actually like eating it. Is that weird? Probably! :P oxo
ReplyDeleteOh no! Well at least you can enjoy a couple every now and then. :)
ReplyDeleteOoo pineapple would be awesome in these infused waters to be honest. Sad that your sister is allergic!
